How far would you walk to an event?
So, if there were an event arranged but you had to walk into the site for the event. How far would you walk in to attend?
Andrew
Edit to clarify
Sorry I wrote that late at night
So if there was a parking area up in the hills and the picnic area which is very big with lots of fire rings and tables set up was about 3K's away one way, Would you walk that distance to an event. Knowing you would have to carry in all that you would need for the day and carry it all back out again when you left.
There is also camping allowed at this spot so if it were held on a Sat you could stay the night.
I ask this in the general chat because people are people and it does not matter if your from WA or not.
I'd like to get an idea of the numbers of those that like the idea before I plan much else.
Thanks
Andrew

I'll proclaim this
I would walk 500 miles
And I would walk 500 more
Just to be the man who walks a thousand miles
To fall down at your cache
da da da (da da da)
da da da (da da da)
Da Da Da Dun Diddle Un Diddle Un Diddle Uh Da
da da da (da da da)
da da da (da da da)
Da Da Da Dun Diddle Un Diddle Un Diddle Uh Da
Unless of course the 235 bus will get me closer

I held an event about 7km up the pipeline track on the slopes of Mt Wellington link here.
There were 14 people in attendance all up and considering th weather conditions, I think that was a pretty good turn out. I was more than happy. The whole thing went really well and the drizzle / mist / rain didn't dampen the enthusiasm at all.
Go for it!
