Stats and the bugrace site are not being updated currently.
As Dean is in the UK and I am currently (today anyway) in Thailand.

We'll try to fit it all in when i return, somewhere in between catching up and end of year !

Well seems we have another casualty. My bug has gone. Someone took it from the cahce it was in and hasn't logged it.

I have emailed all the people to visit it since it was logged in and all claim not to have it. So the HardUnits seem to be out of the race.

<font color="blue"><font face="verdana"><b>I wouldn't get too concerned yet H.U. our bug dissappeared a few weeks ago then re appeared. A first time cacher picked it up forgot to sign the log and didn't log the bug. The bug turned up a couple of weeks later when a seasoned veteran picked it up from a cache it wasn't supposed to be in .... fingers crossed.

Just for the record....Festival City Boomerang has now filled the requirements, five caches and one other country. It's just sitting at "Saut du Doubs" on the French/Swiss border waiting to be swept back to Australia.

Now what is the status of the rest of the racers?

One is well in front and was in the Arab emirates last I looked. Wally wombat I think it was?

We have had some problems with the uploading of data. And will try to get it done one day soon.
Work seems to be getting in the way though. :(

None have reached Oz yet, with most still stuck in old blighty.

If any can get to the US before July 24, and are anywhere near western North Carolina, I would be happy to bring any racers Down Under! I have six non-OZ Race TBs I am already bringing, including a Yellow Jeep TB.

If we are lucky, tomorrow (actually today now :? ) may bring a new status page to the race page.

All bugs have had their coords updated, so distances to home and mapping will work to date.

Bug status so far:

Max echidna is in the lead situated currently at the border of the Arab emirates & Oman.http://www.mapquest.com/maps/map.adp?la ... 6166666667
Little Red rod has flown the coop and is even further than the UK travle bugs as he is currently in the USA !
Rav 4 racing bug and festival boomerang are in France.

The rest of the bugs are in the UK still, some unfortunately havent even left the hands of the original takers
A few are in an airport cache that has apparently been requested to be moved by Airport security (Deja-Vu) ? and some are in a cache that has not even been approved yet ??

The reason the cache hasnt been approved.
Please do not activate yet, this is part of a serial cache, the order of which still has to be decided. Final co-ordinates of cache placement also to be decided, but will be within 200 yards South of submitted waypoint.
oops is this a link to his email address ---> http://www.geocaching.com/email/default.asp?aid=161106

Contact Volvo Man directly and ask him to remove the Oz TBs and to place them in currently active caches. He is a stand-up guy and I am sure he would do this! Or ask him how long until the cache will be approved. If you explain the race part he should help them out!

Same as one UK cacher has held onto Ernie Echidna (Maccamobs) Bug racer since the start of the race.

Very sad really. Its not like they have it written all over them what they are participating in.

You will also notice some slight changes on the Oz bug race pages, Race position placings are now automatic.

Is there a list of all the TB in this race?

The Isle of the dead is a sad cache [:(]
