Yeah, that would be the thing. Thanks, Yurt. I think the moon chart is like that. We never quite get there.

It's a line that approaches the other line, getting closer and closer, but never ever actually touching the first, straight line. I think.

Just heard that Eromsil has met with an accident. I hope his injuries are operable and he recovers OK. No hard feelings Tunea accidents happen.
Re: The Moving Cache Race for 2010/2011
I can assure you that we ARE getting closer. Last night, were had gone 370,400 odd kilometres and today it's already grown to 371,174. C@W will be able to confirm the exact number, but I belive we are aiming at 384,403 kmJust a cacher wrote:I reckon this getting to the moon graph is a bit like that maths thing I never understood: where one line gets closer to the other, but never ever ever meets it, just keeps on getting closer.

Re: The Moving Cache Race for 2010/2011
The GeGnome Project caches have travelled 371,174.45 kms.
The (nominal) target is 384,600km.
The moons orbit is not spherical, so there is some play here.

Yes, fantastic concept.
Do we retire our Gnomes to their gardens for a while now and bring them out for another race soon or wot?
I like the flash mob gnome drop idea, then we could populate the botanical gardens in each city.

Congratulations to everyone who was involved, in particular c@w who kept it all running smoothly, even from overseas.
Looks like we made it to the moon, with a day or two to spare!
