Plenty of room in my shoes for a log book. How small are your feet?

.. or we could just do a reset on the gnomes, and have a three month race.
That would enable more people to join in the fun. Hard to beat the gnomes I reckon.

If your thinking Shoes, why not Gourds.

Half of us could follow the Shoe, the other half - his Gourd, that is apart from me, who would be standing there, in the middle, arms raised, not realising I had been left behind.

Sorry

Can you imagine a group of people wander in from all directions and then disperse leaving about 150 gnomes on the Flinders St Station steps, or the State Library steps.

Maybe not the station as we may cause a few commuters to break their legs falling over gnomes they are unaccustomed to encountering in their way down the steps.
This one sounds like fun! Imagine a Gnome Flash Mob gathering in each state - someone does a headcount of how many gnomes we can get there - to see which state has the most! Then everyone takes a different, random gnome back home with them so we end up with a scattering gnome population! I would happily travel to Melb city for this! I might even get lucky enough to travel on 401 to pick up Metrognome!! hehehe :D

I think shoes is a good idea for the next one! You could end up with a range of different style shoes out there - and I'm sure most people would have an old shoe to use, or you could easily get a pair from an op shop and release twins!

Do we have to wait until next x-mas? I would love to do one sooner - this has added such a fun dimension to caching!

Shoes is good =D> But what I love about the 2 moving cache races we've had so far is that they're in the summer holidays. It's really easy to run around after work and pick up/drop off every day. And it's light enough and warm enough to do it really early in the morning too. Plus there's often a lot of people on road trips here and there and interstate so things keep circulating around.

In the middle of the year, I go home after work asap and try to warm up before climbing into my electric-blanket-warmed bed. And I don't go on inter-state holidays

So I vote we keep this particular moving cache race format over the 2 months of Decemebr-January. (just my opinion tho')

That's not to say we can't play other games at other times. \:D/

=D> I agree Blossom* it makes it much more fun if it is only for a short while. That way the interest level stays high and the eagerness doesn't wear off and we go to all sorts of lengths to acquire gnomes or whatever other object it happens to be. :D

OMG (I hate that saying but this is the time that it REALLY applies!) We only have another 14,000 km to go before the gnomes reach the moon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Get out there everyone. If we can get each of 100 gnomes to move 140 km each in the next week, we will have DONE IT \:D/ \:D/ \:D/ \:D/ :gnome :gnome :gnomette :gnomette \:D/ :gnome \:D/ :gnomette \:D/ :gnome \:D/ :gnomette \:D/ \:D/ \:D/ \:D/

I reckon this getting to the moon graph is a bit like that maths thing I never understood: where one line gets closer to the other, but never ever ever meets it, just keeps on getting closer. :-(
