Nope just fat fingers on the iphone and lack of sleep ](*,) ](*,) on a Melbourne gnome raid. All fixed now.

Poor old Stealth Gnome is never going to come with us again .....

He jumped out the back of the station wagon before we could stop him and this is what happened ...
Image

He had surgery

Antiseptic wash

Head injury that remains after surgery (this part shattered and was unable to be reattached :-(

Resting comfortably -Image

He's ready to disappear into the wilds again tomorrow ... hope he forgives us!!!

I was at the movies last night, and they played the trailer for Gnomeo and Juliet.
I cried inside... (also noticed there was a poster advertising it, next to one for the smurf movie. hmm, subtle.....)

incase you missed it beforehand...

So what's next? Only a few days left, hard to believe it's going to be all over, just like the kiddies' holidays, next week.

Back to geocaches?

What next? :gnome :gnomette

Well, obviously, we open a home for old lost gnomes with an addiction to travel......

Or we start planning the NEXT moving cache race for next Christmas.

I actually thought about this on the weekend. This games ends on the 31st, could we have a new game that sort of continues from this one, except that the idea is to see how many can actually get back home to their owners, say over 1 month or 2. Once they are home they are removed from the game. With a ranking order list of those home first..... etc. If yours doesn't get home in the game period then it is DNF...... Did not finish........ :D :gnome :gnomette
But I guess it's all up to C@W.

Lol, would that mean I would lose one game, but by default automatically win the next?

Cheers

I'd prefer to leave mine out in the wild, and I'd really enjoy continuing to find gnomes that are still on my unfound list. These games are a great way to increase the number of fun GCA caches out there, and it would be a pity to see these creative caches disappear from the listings.

I would be inclined to aggree with Pwag to leave them out there to continu there travles. And if we do decide to bring them home mine will only be coming home then going right back out there.
Yeah by all means arhive those that didn't mak it to the end but those that are still going leave them going.

Couldn't we create a new "Gnome home" game on cachinggames and get only those gnomes who want to go home to enter?

Or maybe a Gnome Flash mob.
Can you imagine a group of people wander in from all directions and then disperse leaving about 150 gnomes on the Flinders St Station steps, or the State Library steps.

Maybe not the station as we may cause a few commuters to break their legs falling over gnomes they are unaccustomed to encountering in their way down the steps.
