Great stuff.
Together with the newsletters, you are doing tremendous work.
Much appreciated.

I think I have this seeded as a BitTorrent, but I've never done one before.

Would someone like to try downloading it for me?

(If it works, I'll put it on the US forums as an option for downloading it)

It's in the queue, looks good so far but not downloading yet (I assume you're offline as there's no seeds).
I'll keep it available for as long as it's needed.

Thanks for that Bear_Left. We can make that a secondary way of getting the podcast.

I set up an account with LibSyn, which hosts a lot of podcasts and has no upload limit. It also provides me with stats to see what the traffic is like. Therefore, my preference would be promote the Libsyn URL.

I have set up an easier URL with links for the stories at http://geotalk.libsyn.com/

Will chat with Ideology and a others regarding whether I will use a more generic URL.

I'll also list the Bit Torrent address on this site as a backup for when people can't download from LibSyn.

Hmm... no, the computer was on all night with the file seeding. Or so I thought!

Forget about this until I've figured out how to do it!

It's seeing 2 peers, but still has 0.0% downloaded, so you've got a few people trying but noone's able to download it, sorry. Read up on it again and keep trying! :D

Maybe we need a ‘GCA Media Blog’ for the newsletters, podcasts, videos (youtube) and I guess even simple Blog posts. Easy way to track all the cool local cache ‘news’.

Had a listen to the podcast today at work. Fabulous stuff - very professional. Looking forward to the next one. Must say that it's nice to put voices to a couple of people I've seen about on the forum. Although I don't use it, the GSAK interview was very interesting as well.

Great work. Congratulations and thanks to all involved. Roll on Episode 2.

Hi

Great work, well done. I have posted the link in the geocaching newsgroup and will pimp it around the place :-)

Geotalk schedule

Post by The Spindoctors » 14 November 06 5:44 pm

FYI - I've uploaded my draft schedule for Geotalk, which you'll find here: http://idisk.mac.com/darren.osborne/Public?view=web and click on Geotalk_schedule.pdf

Looking forward to any ideas for input, suggestions/acceptances for profiles etc. Thanks once again to Papa_Bear_Left for sending in a few stories (i.e. GSAK, Rabbittos and Nobodyz profiles).

C'mon Australia, let's show the rest of world that we're the best geocaching in the world.

BTW - I got an email from a Canadian who heard it and loved it. Once I have the third one up, I'll post it on iTunes and other podcasting directories.

As of 5.40 pm today I had 115 successful downloads, much more than I expected. Thank you all.
