No object or property may be altered to provide a hiding place
Hmmm. There's a lot of Bison tube shaped holes out there that just happen to be there!

We have another cache here proving to be difficult too. It is listed as micro and the CO says they have just doubled the size of it but so far 11 DNF and only 3 finds.

The shame of it, is that it's in Kings Park and we have only just got caches back into the park. :-# I fear if the hunting carries on like this we will be taking them back out very quickly! ](*,)

I have spoken to the CO but the tree which is near GZ had been looking like a war zone when I first searched the area but lot's more cachers have been through since. Apparently the cache isnt even in the tree?

But the size is listed as a micro, not unchosen .

The guidelines that you agree to when placing a cache see it differently.
Geocache placements do not deface or destroy public or private property. Geocaches are placed so that the surrounding environment is safe from both intentional or unintentional harm. Keep both natural and human-made objects safe. No object or property may be altered to provide a hiding place, clue, or means of logging a find.
Good to know. Thanks for the clarification.

In my humble opinion The Pergola has a very real potential to induce eco damage.

Well months later these two new ones still can't be found. And I don't need to say anything about Bifrost.

We really have given up on these. I don't think this has happened before to a community!

There's got to be a way to find these...

Why? We find caches for fun (even the numbers addicts, hopefully) and these have stopped being fun.
Leave them there to rot. Or rust. Or get carried away by an ant.

I'm with the Bear. If I don't find it the first time, I'm not all that likely to search a second. There are so many great caches out there to be found, and my time is too precious to waste on a cache hidden for the purpose of frustrating finders.

I love hard caches. Give me a long, even multi visit multi, involving puzzle, send me over sydney (with purpose) to collect clues. But when it comes to finally hunting the cache. I want to know 100% I am in the right place, and if the hide is clever, I want at least a good chance of finding the box.

This is what I thought caching was, the trend of very hard to find caches should be a different sort of category.

When it gets to 255 DNFs, I'll have a go.
