newbie: state of mind or statistical reality?

My favourite type of newbie cacher is the Helicopter cacher.

We've all seen them.. they start with this admirable enthusiasm, find a dozen or so caches, start a website, a blog , a caching group, a geo shop, bombard the forums with ideas, waving their arms around in the air like a helicopter...then boom... never heard from again.

There's a relative newbie here who has about 60 finds but is already up to 30 hides!
Will see if they last, got to admire their enthusiasm though.
