Geocaching on Kiwi TV!
Quite a good segment on caching, featuring a few Christchurch cachers (including NZ's 'version of Maccamob', the Sallies) was on NZ TV tonight.
You can see it on the TVNZ site or, if that's not working, I've put a copy of it here.

That was MBL's reaction, too, even though she is a Kiwi (but an Aussie for years) and we only left there a year ago! When we moved to Christchurch in '03, her first reaction to hearing a couple of strong local accents was to vow to never sound like that!Slider & Smurf wrote:Very strange hearing a Kiwi accent again after living over here for so long!
I liked the intro bloke saying "cash" to begin with (probably based on someone checking a dictionary) but changing to the Antipodean "caysh" after hearing the report.

I was trying to do something at work today (funny enough not work related) and asked one of the guys for help.
He wanted to see an example of the problem I was having (on my website) so I showed him and he asked what geocaching was all about.
So I showed him the video.
He backed away, quite slowly, after it was finished.
