Mega Ayrshire, Scotland - 2nd August 2014

Post by JackieC » 19 October 13 9:04 pm

Just thought I'd post to let you all know about the UK Mega Event 2014 - Ayrshire and Arran, which is on Saturday 2nd August 2014 in Ayr, Scotland. The Mega website can be found at http://megahomecoming2014.co.uk/.

We are ideally placed for cachers who are attending the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow (less than an hour away), and we have a week of events planned before the Mega event itself. We are in the heart of Burns Country and the area is rich in a variety of caches to suit all tastes.

Two Geocoins and a trackable tag have been produced to raise funds.
The geocoins are themed to celebrate the Bard of Ayrshire, and Scotlands favourite son, Robert Burns. Each geocoin design has its own unique GC.com icon and can be posted worldwide.

The shop can be access directly at http://megahomecoming2014.co.uk/shop/index.php. For example 2 coins, including delivery, is £20GBP (APPROX $33:50 AUD).

Both coins have a limited edition run of just 250.

The Rose Geocoin
This coin was designed to celebrate the romantic song 'My Love is like a Red Red Rose' written by Scotland's national bard Robert Burns.

The Star Geocoin
A Burns supper is a celebration of the life and works of the poet Robert Burns. The suppers are normally held on or near 25 January, the poet's birthday. One of the songs that is regularly sung at these events is 'The Star o' Rabbie Burns'.

We are also offering the fun and versatile, 'Icons of Scotland' trackable tag. Durable and tough, with an easily seen tracking code, its the perfect companion to send on a mission with your chosen item.

Thanks for looking, and we look forward to seeing you in Bonnie Scotland in August \:D/
