Cacher from germany

Post by tobey » 13 November 06 9:33 am

G´day,
my name is Tobias, 23 years old.
Next month im going to australia for 8 months.
Im starting in sydney and staying till the new year, and then i dont know where it will bring me.

Im making a "Work and Travelholiday", and i saw how much Caches u got.
So i want to meet some cachers, make some caches, and have some nice adventures.
I love everything to do, whats outside, but i love the most to doing outside without feet, especially like to canoe, ride horse, fly paraglider, mountainbiking, Geocaching with rope (the special ones).
I hope, i meet some cachers and have a nice time.
Greetz, tobey

Ps. what do u think about my english? i think i have to learn a lot more

G'day Tobias

I hope you enjoy your stay in Australia.

You are right that there are a lot of caches here and you will find the cachers are a friendly lot.

Keep watching for an Event in the area you will be staying. they are usually well attended and it is a good way to meet the locals. There are Events all around Australia on the 3rd December if you are arriving before that date

By the Way, you English is much better that my German so I am sure you will manage.

Hi Tobey,

Hope you have a great time in Australia. Join up with the rest of the Geocaching Australia boards so you can keep up to date with things happening.

Feel free to send us a message, I also enjoy paragliding (as well as geocaching) and there is an awesome school in Bright, Victoria.

Cya,
Shelly

Hello Tobey. Hope you have a fun stay over here. If you end up in Adelaide then I am sure the local people here will make you feel welcome.

As for "geocaching with rope" - we have one of those here in Adelaide. The English language term for the hobby is "abseiling". I have done it once ages ago and enjoyed it a lot.

Have a great time over here.

:D
I feel quite welcome already.
Im arriving in sydney on 4th dezember, a little too late for that event :(
If u want to meet me, send me a pm with homecoords. , name and phonenumber, so when im near u i get contact with u.
Some pic and details would be nice.
@Shelly, how many flights u got? And which license do u got?
Do u sing this music, like i hear on ur site? or is that u? ;-)
i got over 250 flights.
u can watch www.paraflying.de for some pics... >> "flugberichte"

@richary, abseiling is similar to the german word "abseilen", funny ;-)
