Get a hire car and head up to the Back Creek gorge at Beechmont. Some highly recommended Groundspeak and GCA caches in a lovely scenic place. Do some research on the Geotalk puzzle cache before you go.

Keep an eye on Bravo Hotel at Burleigh Heads - the oldest continually running cache in Queensland. Currently offline but it may be back in time for your visit. There's an earthcache on the walk to Bravo as well.
