Windows vista and city navigtor v6/v7 problems

Having just bought a new puter

, cause the old one died

, I am trying to install my Garmin mapping products.

New computer is running Windows vista business.
Problem is the v7 update cd won't install because it cant find a previous version to update and when I try to install v6 it tells me to start this data CD from the setup CD but there is no such thing.

Anyone know if it's a compatability problem

or any other ideas

.

BTW Bluechart v8 and update to v8.5 worked fine.
Shonkymaps is also ok

I also had issues with loading mapsource under Vista on a new PC a week or so ago. I reported the problem to Garmin and received the following reply on the next US business day (after I had worked it out for myself)

Thank you for contacting Garmin International. There is a security setting for Vista that needs to be set. Right click on the Map Source icon and go to Properties. After here you will see a compatibility tab, click and then check the Run as Administrator box. This will set the correct Vista security and you will be able to open Map Source. Thank you.

It's not actually the mapsource program that the problem (that works fine) .
The problem is trying to load City navigator .

From what I can see I'm already running Mapsource in Administrator mode

My problem seemed to occur when I loaded 2 or more mapsets in Mapsource, so with only Trip & Waypoint manager OR City Navigator it worked OK, but with both loaded Mapsource wouldn't open.
