OT Vehicle Fuel Log/Manager

Post by ian-and-penny » 17 February 07 12:10 pm

Hi All,

Can anybody who uses a PPC to log their vehicle fuel & service information recommend a good program.

Specifically, I'm looking for one that has an easy(quick) data entry and that will also synchronise with my desktop PC.

Havent seen anything myself, but it shouldnt be too hard to whip something up in Excel? Will work on both then. Great Idea though.

I've just got a simple excel file that i throw the number of litres purchased, distance traveled since last fill, and cost, and from there a couple of simple forumla's take care of the calculations to spit out litres per 100 km's (which is distance traveled over litres used times 100)

If you wanted to be really fancy about it you could create the graphs that give you a visual of how your consumption fares

try Vehicle Manager from iambic (previously two peaks). I have been using the ppc and the desktop version for over a year now, and am a very happy customer.

There is a trial version available at the website - http://www.iambic.com/vehiclemanager/wmppc/

I use a program called CARCare http://www.carcaresoftware.com/ to manage my fleet.<br /> It runs on palmos and PPC as well as the windows box and syncs both ways.

It's not for figuring cost, it's for tracking performance. & logging deductible trips.
