Tomtom to computer conection issues

Hi all,
I was wondering if any one here uses one of these and whether you have had problems with the tom tom software recognising the tom tom device attached.

I recently bought the go710 model but have been unable to connect it to my PC via the OEM supplied software.

Hope some one can help as it is very frustrating

I don't have one but my dad does. Have you tried all the usual suspects. Try shutting down your virus scan and firewall and running it again. (Remember to disconnect you internet connection while your unprotected)

I had a problem. Push the cable in properly, initially it takes a little bit of force as it's a tight fit.
