I have a few similar apps on my memory card, but none of them have compelled me to buy/make a cable to a GPSr yet, though.

Even the little eTrex has most, if not all, of the functionality of any of these programs, and the Meridian's customisable screens make the Palm progs even more redundant.

Now, with a sealed box of a BT GPSr, I can see the need for PDA screens!

What am I missing? There must be some reason that these programmers spent their time on creating GPS apps.

Maybe that gives you a better purpose...
How about life mapping and driving instructions?

Oh, yes, this looks like very nice software, indeed!

It was written by Sydney's own Gavin Maxwell of PocketScience and he's very proud of it!
He says it'll work with a BT or a cable-connected GPS.
