Has anyone else had any problems with downloading the latest gsak?
I seem to get only about 1 meg in and the file finishes.
both Firefox and IE tell me the file is done but when I try to run it, it will not install.

Thanks
Andrew
<p>
No problems here, installed and running fine (Vers 6.6.4 Nov 06 unless there is a newer version!!)

Is that with the version off the front page, or the 6.6.5 patch that is in the forums?
either way, ive just downloaded the latest patch without any hassles.

When sending waypoints to the GPS I usualy do a "set this cache as centre point" then send with a limit.

How do we do this when exporting (File > Export>......) ie export only X number of caches around X cache? :?

Pretty much the same! Set the centre point you want, go to the export dialogue box and enter your maximum number of waypoints there.

If you have the option of using child waypoints (gc.com "additional waypoints") on, then GSAK's pretty clever about including them in the total and shouldn't leave you with incomplete listings.

Ok I must be missing something here :? .

Now this is what I want to do.

But I want to do it here:

Seems that isn't possable. What have I missed.

I'm trying to make seperate cachemate files so I can load the GPS with garmin export. Seems cachemate's garmin export has no limits so I'm thinking seperate pdb databases are the go. Is there a better way to do it with the hardware available.

Well I'v worked around it sort of with arc/lin & dot filters :) .

 It would be handy to be able to dot filter on number of caches rather than distance.

 Also Line filtering from one given point in a given bearing with a given arc distance and a given number of caches. ie starts filtering from one end and moves out until X number of caches are found.

Have you tried asking your questionHere? Clyde is generally responsive to queries & feature requests?

Might be worth looking at the beta of V7 as well.

Thats my experiance with him too  . I considered that but thought there maybe a wider responce here and that there maybe in fact already those functions that I had somehow overlooked.

I presumed he still looks in here :? . Will post over there in a week or 3 may be if no comments from him here.

It's been a long time coming, but ClydE's finally asking for an upgrade fee for this version.

Just be aware of this, and if you don't want to pay the fee (USD15, 10 or 0, depending on when you bought it and whether you've donated in the past), then don't upgrade to this version or you'll be getting the nags after 21 days!

More details here.

I've downloaded the new GSAK to my laptop, and have found that it refuses to recognise our found caches.

It sees our placed caches, but none of our finds.

Anyone proficient who can help? I would really appreciate it...if worst comes to worst I'll email Clyde.

Cheers!
