K-Mart Selling GPS units

Post by Aushiker » 14 March 05 12:19 pm

Hi

This might be old news, but got a K-Mart catalogue in the mail this weekend and amongst the camping gear listed was an Magellan eXplorist 100 selling for $239. Are they selling other models?

Saw it in our Karratha Kmart yesterday evening :) Its a pretty cheap looking device. KMart used to sell the lower model Magellens up here a couple of years ago and then all went quiet. In this case probably because most people went for the fish finder thingys. :)

Cheaply made too. If you happen to buy one, don't tighten the battery compartment screw too tight or it snaps off.

Its only the Lanyard ring that snaps off is it not?

I've had my Explorist 100 (bought from KMart in fact during one of their 15% off sales) since Nov '04c and find it good and have no problems. Not that I have used any other GPS, but as an entry level device it's excellent, plus it fits in my top pocket.
