Resizing pdf Maps for PRINTING
What is the best way to resize pdf maps for printing? Can't seem to work out a good easy way to do this.
If you print the ones I have on a A4 page they are next to useless as the detail is so small.
I'v been screen grabing them and cut and paisting them together in "paint" there has got to be a easy way.

Get a printer that can print in A1 or A0 (or A -3!) and print it to fill the (bed)sheet of paper!
Then learn origami so you can fold that sucker up into something you can carry!
I have maps printed in 1:1 scale, which is really useful. If I want to measure a distance, I just drive between the spots and use the odometer or the GPS to tell me how far it is...

I suppose for NZ you can use a long roll of paper..Bear_Left wrote:Get a printer that can print in A1 or A0 (or A -3!) and print it to fill the (bed)sheet of paper!

You could convert them to .jpg images and then edit/print them to your hearts content.

Whilst we are talking about digital mapping, does anyone know of a simple utility that I can use to stitch together four .tif maps to make one larger map for use in ozi?
I've got a complete set of 1:50,000 maps of the state, and the city is pread across 4 so I thought it would make sense to stich them all together into one large map file. Obviously I've got to remove the framing, import it and re calibrate the end file.
I'm just hoping there might be some utility for doing just that?
