Newbie Q:
Do I need anything other than my mobile to do a cache? (I have read FAQ promise, not being lazy!)
The link to get a Geocaching app on this website didn't work. And a lot of information / comments seem very old.
And I figure mobiles must have GPS these days for Google maps etc - so is that enough to participate?
Sorry of this is a tedious newbie question!
Thanks in advance for any advice

I've sent a message to the owner of GA Cacher to see why it's not available in the Play Store.

yep sorry about the new version of Android has tightened up the policy around location, so I need to make some minor changes to GA Cacher to become compliant again..
hopefully it won't take too long...

I believe a lot of people use c:geo on Android, though being an iPhone owner I can't comment on it. I don't know whether it just supports the main Groundspeak site or this one as well.

The GA cacher only works with GCA caches.

c:geo does not connect to GCA directly. It can (as we use essentially the same API as the opencaching sites) but doesn't. You can load a GPX file as an offline load and still use the app, just with stored geocache data.
