How to change username and password

Post by TBU1Bikesu » 02 November 19 5:08 pm

I registered here couple of years ago with bikesu. I am a member of Geocaching.com where my nickname is TBU1Bikesu. I want to use that nickname as of now, but can't find out how.

2nd question: I forgot the old password, got a temporary one. How can I change that one into a new password?

Thanks for help.

Cheers Susan

To align your geocaching names use this self-service function. https://geocaching.com.au/my/settings Make sure you have the correct case set.

If you also want to update your forum name to match, please let us know in this thread and we'll get a faeries onto it. That's not a self-service function at the moment.

You can change your password via the User Control Panel which you can find by clicking on your name at the top right of the forum.

Could I please have my geocaching name changed from ziggy_k to b4today, I have tried the self-service function
but that has only produced errors and all my details disappear.
I wish to retain ziggy_k as my forum name. Thank you.

Self serve should work?
Please copy and paste the errors so we can see what's wrong.
Do you have any finds or hides at either this site or GCHQ?

Here is whats on my screen under my original cacher name ziggy_k same results appear
when I try to change to b4today (cacher search does not show already exists)
When I click on the update button all seems fine it's when I log in again that the errors show.
As yet I have not had any finds on either site due to corv-19 but more so I really have no
idea which name to log ziggy-k or b4today.
I'm more than happy to PM you my login details if this would help.

You log into the site using ziggy_k as that's your forum name.
Your caching name is now https://geocaching.com.au/cacher/b4today
The caching name is there to align any stats to your GC profile and your finds and hides at GCA will be under b4today.
