My favourite use of NearMap is via GSAK. So:
- Tools menu
- Options
- HTML Tab
- In the "Custom URLs" box, add the following line:
NearMap=http://www.nearmap.com/?q=@%lat,%lon&ll=%lat,%lon
- OK to close

Then you can right click any cache and select "Custom URL... NearMap" which gives a nice view of where the cache should be (with all the usual accuracy caveats for the maps and saved coordinates).

I should note that you can add a "&z=20" to the end of the above line, and 20 can be changed to suit your preferred default "zoom in" level.
Cheers,
Murf.
Thanks for that - very useful !

Good idea - look fwd to when nearmap covers rural areas.

Perhaps coverage in rural areas wont be that great. Just checked a trig behind Jamberoo near Kiama which is in the nearmaps coverage area. Lacks clarity when compared to a trig I selected in Caringbah (Sydney). Probably only designed for large built up areas.

Coverage depends on where customers have paid them to capture data for.

Ahhh - that puts the term "poor country cousins" into a new perspective. The military must have deep pockets though.

Oooooooooooooh, that is cool.
According to this, on the 24th of november, i was not at home, we were assembling the veggie patch in the backyard, and there's no washing on the clothesline.

And then, i can go back to the 7th of July, where i can see my car (dodgily) parked in the driveway, and there's washing on the clothesline, and the backyard looks funny.

I like it!

No worries
It could be easily done as I noticed every time you access that page it automatically has that field preselected.
