Kogan EVINAV G6 GPS - In car navigator

Post by The Swaggies » 04 August 10 11:37 am

Has anyone tried to use this ICN for geocaching.

Kogan have it listed for $229.00 plus postage.

It has 6" TOUCHSCREEN W/ BLUETOOTH AND 2GB MEMORY.

I asked them if you could upload waypoints, navigate to a set of coordinates and view html files.

Their reply was that you could upload waypoints but they could not tell me in what format, and you can navigate to a set of coords, but they did not reply re the html viewer.

Anyone else used these units?

I have a feeling it might be running Nav N Go's "Igo" software and maps. Not even 20% sure on that though. The Evinav G3 uses Igo...so i would think maybe they're sticking with that?

The Igo mapping with 3d shading and terrain blows Garmin & Tomtom out of the water. (in my opinion) Have been using an Igo product branded for Motorola on my HTC Desire for a while now and like it very very muchly... :)
