MotionX-GPS HD sounds like it might do the trick but I haven't tried it ... I have the non-GPS 32GB WiFi iPad 8)

I've been playing with GeoSphere and iPlunder HD

Seeing as the iPad does not have a GPS chip can I use a Bluetooth battery powered GPS (that will fit into my pocket) instead.

And will Ozi Explorer work on the Apple platform?

I've just been having a play with my son's iPad. It seems that since I have already bought the Groundspeak app for my Touch, I can sign in
to the App Store on my son's iPad and get it on there for free.
The GPS seems to work well (he has the 3G model), but even though it's a cloudy day, the screen is so reflective that
it's virtually unusable outside. I had to stand in a low hanging tree to see anything at all - I couldn't even tell if it was switched on otherwise.
It would be good for night caching :D
