In Queensland, the Queen Street Mall, or the GPO would be good central spots to take bearings from. The centre of the Queen Street Mall is actually the starting point for the Money Changer cache of mine, so you can get the coordinates from there.

Also, would the WAP site also be downloadable to a PDA with AvantGo or Plucker?

Hobart GPO - 42 52.936 147 19.810
Launceston GPO - 41 26.107 147 08.264

Take your pick, personally I would pick Launceston GPO because the majority of caches are in the north of the state. Also the majority of finds have been in the North - I guess most tourists either fly into Launceston or get off the Spirit of Tasmania I or II in Devonport!

I voted no, but only because I'm a gadgetphile and have the PDA (Tungsten|T) talking via Bluetooth the the phone (Nokia 6310) which accesses the secondary site directly via GPRS (Telstra)

Plus, I have the secondary site send me a .GPX of all the NSW caches a couple of times a week and carry that around with me as well, in Mobipocket and iSilo (after GPXspinning) formats.

So, I think wireless access to sites is a wonderful idea, and if WAP's all you have, roll on a WAP server!

I would vote for Yes, SA. but its not on your list :(

My Victora Squircle is at S 34° 55.631 E 138° 35.993

It is a towards the northern end of Victoria Square
if you wanted to use that as a central point for SA???

I don't really have any idea what WAP is. Does it come in colours? And is it safe for the kiddies?
Despite that, go with Victoria Squircle for South Australia. After all, it is the spot where everything else is officially measured from in this State, even though the coords mentioned there are wrong. Use GeoCoopers coords, they are correct.

Cool idea. Works really well on my Siemens s55. Nice work. Now to team it up with my iPaq.

Hmm I've had a look at it gcsa. End Of The Line appears okay but ...

It shows Another Breakaway which is a standard cache as "using your macgiver skills and solving the puzzle, download the file from gc.com ? etc"

Looks like its getting the wrong description for the cache from somewhere.
