Post by MADA1234 » 11 June 09 12:05 am

When im using firefox as a browser, how come i cant go to, previous/next page 1234...etc, on my "geocaching" pages ?
On G.c.a or the other sites i usually use firefox works perfectly.....
Anyone got any tricky ideas? Thanks.

Firefox works perfectly for me.
Can you be a bit more specific as to what your problem is?

On geocaching.com site, when you look at lists of caches they are displayed over multiple pages. at the bottom left of these pages(and near the top right) the options are " previous" "1,2,3,4,5" and "next" to go from one page to the next.
These options work fine on this site,, but wont work on the other geocaching site or a few others i use regularly

geocaching.com use a .net framework and all prev/next pages are called via a javascript "postback" function. Hideous and consuming of your computer resources, but that's what they do.

Is javascript enabled on your browser or do you have something like noscript running? If so you will need to disable noscript or turn javascript on to enable the postback javascript calls in the .net framework.

In Firebox click on Tools, then click on options, then click on content.
Tick the box that says Enable JavaScript.
You may need to restart Firefox.

Thanks!!
That sorted out my problem on geocaching.com site, it now goes to the next page,,previous etc. etc.
Yay,, now i can change my laptop to firefox as well when i get home tonight...
Only problem that still remains is the site i use to do ordering on, on my work computer.
Geocaching.com works on work computer now, so i guess my ordering site just isn't compatible with firefox..
I guess i will just have to live with explorer on the work computer!!!!

More than a few people have recently reported the same problem at the GC site. It looks like they might have a bug. Check their forums for more information.

All 3 lappys have updated to the last Fox with no problems, maybe different on some machines.
Script blocker can halt java, could that be it :?:
