Spoke to Garmin Aus during the week and they expect to release the 550 in Aus in about 2-3 months. They are waiting for the Aus maps to be done before release.

What maps? :? Considering they should be using the same maps as the 400T i can't see a need for the delay...sounds fishy. :x

Might be a nice little upgrade for my Magellan MAP330 :D

Would like to see the manual though before deciding.

I thought that the 400T (and supposedly 550T) came with Garmin Topo Australia, not CNA. Surely they wouldn't update that software yearly like CNA.

Your right about the T model. The maps haven't been out that long for an update yet. Could be wrong to. Maybe they have got a lot of bad feedback. Who knows what Garmin is doing. CNA is due for an update that is for sure.
