I used to use Ghost, but more often than not recently I have been using Acronis for backup and cloning. Both are good.

Hard drive manufacturers normally have a utility on their websites for copying the drives. I believe the Western Digital one was a custom version of Acronis. They should be a free download.

Unsure on exact costs... my discs are from work.
From memory, Acronis is about US$50, Ghost is about US$70.

As KevL mentioned there would be free alternatives around so it's worth checking the Hard Drive manufacturers sites.

If its a partition you want to copy gparted. I'v cloned drives on win32 and ext3 with it + its GPL / GNU.

http://gparted.sourceforge.net/

This live CD containes it + more

Probably better to re install then copy all the stuff you need across later so as not to bring all the trash from your old install.

Yeah,i agree hurry up and finish the job. This is better than home and away.
You spend more on coffee grinds and diesel each week on the hunts.
PS ..if one more cache comes out in Berwick...we are moving back!
