Natmap Raster Mapsheets cdroms

Post by Webguy » 01 June 04 9:24 pm

I grabbed these from the map shop at paramatta today.

Have just fired it up, and I see that the entire top and right hand side of every map I have looked at so far, is missing/chopped off. This is making it rather hard to try and calibrate these in Oziexplorer.

Am I doing something wrong here? I don't believe they should be chopped off like that, it means I am missing 3 of the 4 corners of each map, and those wonderful sets of lat/long co-ordinates.

Anybody else got this set? Got the same problem? if so, how did you get around this?

goto http://216.218.220.254/eng/aussie.html and you will be able to download the calibration files for OziExplorer.

http://www.diveoz.com.au/se5406.zip is one of the maps.

The problem exists in the supplied viewer, or loading the native ecw file into oziexplorer.

The map files that I grabbed earlier tonight, seem to be calibrated fine for these maps, even if they are cut off.

That is the way they are made. I've got a couple paper copies which are the same. If you have a closer look, the top and right hand side over lap the left and the bottom by a little bit.

I should have said they overlap the next map. That's what you get 4:30am in the morning.
