Google maps terrain + extra features
I was playing with google maps (not google earth) and noticed that the Terrain feature has 20m contours when you zoom in close enough.

Is this new, or have I been blind? Not all that usefull in the urban environment, but great for checking out those longer cache expeditions out in the wilds. The 3D shading effect when you zoom out and pan around is quite good too.
Also noticed that you can turn on Wikipedia entries or photos under "More..."
I probably should have posted this under GCA web site topic - but how hard is it to add the Terrain feature to GCA maps? (you can access the terrain feature through GC)

I'll have a look when I get some time (unless that powerhouse c@w beats me to it)

noice
I don't suppose you have also noticed that if you mouse click on the bigger of the two Google maps on the Geocaching.com cache details page that it will open a new page that shows Google Maps with a cache location enabled add-on and a selection of 'Map', 'Satellite' or 'Terrain' options that you can zoom, scroll and pan to your hearts content (complete with the afformentioned contours)
