New Magellan eXplorist Firmware Updates

Just upgraded my 600 from the old V2.57 to the new V2.57 (just posted). Upgrade worked fine with no compass recallibration issues this time and a few bugs look like they have been fixed. However, one that still remains is the "Show found cache", which after a restart only shows 3 found caches (not all of them) - the same problem as in the earlier version 2.57...

Any one else notice this problem??

If you look on the Magellan Website it still lists 2.03 for the Explorist 600 North American Version

And says there is no updates for the Europe Version.

The 2.57 500/600 file at that location is dated 31 May 2007, which leaves me wondering about the mentioned 2.57 update? Maybe some post somewhere caused some confusion on the versioning? Is another build of this firmware hosted elsewhere? We'll get this sorted out yet

Stickler - when you restart do the caches that you had marked as found reappear as unfound? So for instance you may have marked 10 caches as found. Then shut down the GPS, re-power and then find that 7 have reappeared on the Unfound list and just 3 appear on the Found list.

This has been an annoyance to me for some time now - see earlier thread on this forum re "Explorist 500/600 caches marked as found"

Yep pprass, thats right ...V2.03 was OK but V2.57 screwed it up....yet to be fixed....must admit that Magellan firmware updates are virtually crap..
