Geosphere (iOS) update - now available
Geosphere (iOS) update - now available
Great news for iOS Geosphere users. Version 2.4 has just been released, finally with "support for geocaching.com.au GPX files". Full GCA listing details can now be imported into geosphere, without going via GSAK.
Full details of the new release are available here. You can download it from the iTunes App Store, link here.

Just installed, and it works brilliantly. There are a few other changes too, notably the ability to project waypoints, and a few new icons/pins.

The new version of Geosphere has a new waypoint averaging function. This would now make it possible to use the iPhone to accurately place a new cache.

Re: Geosphere (iOS) update - now available
I bought Geosphere and the official app as soon as I got my new iPhone - a few months ago - and I hardly ever use Geocaching.
Geosphere is the bee's knees in my opinion.
I have been going on Groundspeak forums spruiking Geosphere to ppl complaining about the official app - wonder how long before I'm told off by Groundspeak. LOL

Bought geosphere today to enable me to more easily seek GCA caches.
Dick Smith Electronics are selling $50 iTunes cards for $40 at the moment so effectively it was at a 20% discount!
Followed murf's instructions for loading the gpx files from here: http://forum.geocaching.com.au/viewtopi ... 12&t=15598 and at first they were timing out but after restarting the iPhone (which is recommended after installing any new program) it worked like a charm. Thanks murf!
Program looks quite functional. Time to go find a

Used geosphere primarily (occaisonally the gc.com app) during my holiday. Rocks. Well worth the money. Can load gpx from gc.com.au website straight into the app.
