Trouble loading GPX files into Garmin Nuvi 1350

I download GPX files from GC.com and GCA.com (GPX version 1.1) and can copy then straight into my Garmin GPSmap 78s. They show up fine and I can search for them.

However, when I do the same with my car gps (Nuvi 1350) it will not start up. It gets to the "Loading maps.." stage and then turns off. Connecting back to the computer with a USB cable doesn't help and I have to perform a hard reset in order to be able to use the nuvi.

Is there any way to copy the GPX files onto the Nuvi (just like you can do with the GPSmap) without using GSAK? (I'm a linux user)

Try deleting the old copy of the file using windows explorer and then reload the new file.

Thanks crew 153, I gave that a go but the same problem returned. The nuvi GPS would shutdown when it reached "Loading maps..." and wouldn't start unless I performed a hard reset.

This is included on the spec. sheet for the nuvi:

I used to use a nuvi no problem at all for geocaching. It's just not caching friendly because it can't take you to the exact end point, but rather the closest point.
