While checking out the new Verbosity stat, I came across a cross-linked page that needs fixing.

http://geocaching.com.au/cache/gcg984 should really be:
http://geocaching.com.au/cache/gcgp84

(I didn't think I'd ever written THAT short a log! More like short novels, usually, especially if it's a FTF...)

Thanks Papa Bear_Left. This is indeed spurious data and appears to be quite old, probably amongst the first sets of logs imported. This has now been rectified.

Not sure if this should be posted here or in Silly Records, but...

As I approach my century it would be nice to know where I sit in relation to other cachers. I know Freddo has me by a country mile according to the outdated stats on the Wiki. But where am I now?

Of course I'm talking about DNFs.

Is this stat around and available?

Only at the http://www.caughtatwork.net/geocaching/graphs/ website.

You're in 48th position in the top 50 with 94.
Freddo (of course) leads with 372, followed by If with 259 and dak's Emu Mob with 200. You've got a way to go yet.

Why didn't this event show up!!

Post by OMY130 » 06 May 08 12:59 pm

Hi Faeries'<br>
There was much discussion around the happy hour table over the weekend. We couldn't understand why our event didn't show up in the daily GCA Update Email of new caches / upcoming events. Was it because it was a CITO Event or just too far away to pickup for those living in Brisbane?
Event in Question
<P>Thanks in advance..... :) <P>

Slack coding would be my guess.
The daily emailer only picked up type E caches which are events.
CITO events are type C which wasn't being picked up by the daily emailer.
I think that they should be in the daily emailer, so I'll make a change to include them.
It won't be immediate, but it will get there.

SO I've hit the 100 DNF but can't get the graph to display for the ACT.

It comes up with that broken picture picture, to be sure, to be sure.

Hi Faeries,

Seems the Tassie state ladder is b0rked.
I have 4 finds this month and I don't appear on the top finders for the month, considering the ladder goes down to 2 finds...
Also, haven't seen the YTD top finders numbers change for a while?

I've purged the cache files, and now you are there.....
Not to sure why it broke, but I'll have a look and see...

YTD should all be fine now too

Gday fairies,

Just a potential bug with find stats... on my stats i the youngest cache found looks to be playing up. It does show a young cache, but i know i have found one the day after it was published, so shouldn't that be there? Maybe i'm misinterperating the stat though.

Nothing major, just a curiosity more so than anything

Regards
PAul

Youngest means most recently hidden, not the days between hidden and your find.

Lies, Damn Lies and Statistics!!

Post by svn07 » 23 July 08 9:33 pm

I think I'm in the right place for this.....

Feeling a little chuffed that I've already got 45 finds in my first "full" month but a wee bit miffed that I'm not appearing with the other clever folk in the Qld top 10 (which goes down to 40). Is something broke or am I not understanding the stats?

BTW - reading through this thread....are the likes of C@W etc PAID for this or do you do it out of the goodness of your hearts...if it is the latter...WOW - clearly legends 8) !

Thanks for the help
