Well I'm not interested in the 4 wheel driving section, but I think it should be there for the people who are interested in it. So if there was a poll for 'Should there be a 4 wheel driving forum', I'd vote 'yes' even though I'd never use it.Papa Bear_Left wrote:It might be a misleading poll, I think. I'm not at all interested in a trackable forum, but I don't care if there is one! Much the same way as I generally ignore the 4WD and photography forums unless a topic especially grabs me.
So, I chose not to vote as either option would misrepresent my view.
On the other hand if someone wanted a sewing forum or medieval basket weaving forum, I'd vote 'No', as it has nothing at all to do with caching.
Clear as mud?
The poll should really just be a 'yes' option. Ignore any of the 'no's' because you are really just seeking interest on how many people would use such a category, not how many people wouldn't.
If it is demonstrated that there is sufficient interest then create the category and use it. At this point there are nine (not including myself).
Then you need to discuss...
"does nine people warrant a separate space to discuss what ever?"
I don't know. My guess is that there are probably 14-20 people using the photography section on a regular basis not counting those that just view and not post. Nine might be a sufficient margin for regular discussion. I belong in two other PHPBB forums that each have nine regular posters.
Personally, (in case someone out there gives a hoot) I leave coins behind in case I lose it down the seat of the car or the kids pinch it for show and tell at school. It's not that I don't like them I just think it safer to leave them where they lie. I would be interested in reading the threads in such a category but probably wouldn't have much to say.

I would definately use the geocoin section. I've only just started to buy some and would be very interested in talkling ideas and where to get them minted and so on.
I also find it quite difficult to have a proper conversation on GC without all the seppo's getting up in knots about "that question was asked 3 days ago, go and look for it!!". So now i don't even go on the GC forum so I would miss out on the geocoin trade/sale.
Support Aussie geocoin tragics. Bring on the geocoin section

Only because it means I can ignore a whole section/forum instead of various radom threads here and there... and yes I voted "No"zactyl wrote:Knot_gillty wrote:24 people want it so far....Not quite, I'm one of the 20 people who aren't interested in a section, but considering the show of interest from those who are, I am certainly in support of them having one!Team Piggy wrote:And 20 dont LOL!

At this stage, 100% of voters have voted.Team Piggy wrote:Might be a while yet Still only .86% of members have voted
This number should be enough to establish a need.....there was no poll in the end for a photography sub-section and the 4wd sub-section was around the same voting numbers.....this should be enough to show the trend, should it not?

There are around 600 registered members who have vistited since October 1 this year.Team Wibble wrote:And what percentage of members are regular visitors to the forums?Team Piggy wrote:Might be a while yet Still only .86% of members have voted
So 50 out of 600 would be around 8% have voted, 5% have voted yes and 3.5% have voted no.
There are around 900 registered members who have visited in the last 3 months.
So 50 out of 900 would be around 5% have voted, 3% have voted yes and 2% have voted no.
Re: Geocoins
Thats really interesting. No seriously it is.
But isn't the real topic:

I'm interested to see how the term 'enough' is going to be defined.Cheesy pigs wrote:Can we have a separate sub-forum for geocoins please? Or are there still not enough people interested in them?
