can't log on to wiki [closed]

Do we have to create an account to log into wiki as I can't using my GCA Identity and password as I thought it was part of GCA
P.S. I only get the log in screen and no Create account screen

sorry, we had to stop new registrations on the wiki because it's been repeatedly vandalised
we want to develop a single logon but it will be a while coming
in the interim, we've created you an account and will pm you the details

Maybe a "gcauser" shared account could be set up (similar to the gallery) for the wiki?

if it got abused makes it hard to see what needs to be rolled back.

might be easier to keep doing it this way in the long run.

we've installed the latest version of the mediawiki software which has some security improvements

we've discovered an easy way to roll back spammers:
- go to the recent changes page
- click on the username that generated the spam
- click on "User Contributions" in the left hand menu
- click "rollback" on all the pages they changed
- block the user for 1 zillion years!

so we've re-enabled account creation by users and will see how we go!

I can't log in to edit the wiki, or create an account to do so. "There is no user by the name "Zactyl".[username entered was "zactyl"] Check your spelling, or use the form below to create a new user account."
There's no form below, just a "Mail me a new password" button, which didn't work.

I was wanting to add a "Found your first cache and don't know what to do now?" section to the "Finding your first cache" page, to make it easier for muggles who find a cache to log it.
