Is it possible to include an option for the cache owner to edit a cache log as is available on GC caches (through gc.com).
The reasons for this vary - it be to remove undesirable clues to the cache or remove an undesirable comment.

As far as I know, GC.com only allows the removal of logs by the owner, not editing (the logger can do that).
Editing someone else's logs opens a very messy can of worms.

Thanks Rog - you're right. GC allows for deletion or for a permanent decryption. I would have wanted to edit but it does open up a can of worms, so it's probably better if it's not available.

Why not email the cacher and get them to alter their log? I did this when the log sort of gave the hiding place away and they were happy to oblige.

Yep, that's the recommended approach, and the implied threat of having their log removed makes most reasonable people comply.
