Unloved search

Is there a way to search for unfound (by myself) unloved caches? I tried making a querie but the choices I'm looking for don't seem to be there.

Or maybe on another site like project gc?

GSAK has filters built in that you can specify a value for "Not Found during the last _____ days."

Project GC has something called 'Lonely' caches - but this only shows the value of the age of the cache in days / number of finds. Would be a pretty cool feature. I haven't seen it on other sites but did hear that there's a feature on the iOS app Cachly which lets you change the icon on the map for caches that haven't been found for a specified period of time.

So, Question for the faeries - would it be an easy operation to add a checkbox to the "Found Between" field in the New Query page that would effectively change that field to "Not Found Between"? Would be a quick way for cachers to generate a unloved query for any specified amount of time, which can then be filtered further if required. Not sure if this would take a lot of processing to crunch the numbers etc, but I imagine we would be the first site that can generate this information easily.

One way to do this on the GC website is to get a list of caches you haven't found in an area with their search filters and then sort on 'Last Found' which will sort them in date order from not found at all upwards to the latest caches found. (They call the field 'DateLastVisted' even though they show it as "Last Found' on the webpage.)

eg the NSW state version = https://www.geocaching.com/play/search? ... d&asc=True

You can get the first 1000 caches of any result into GSAK by selecting all which will select the first 1000 caches of the filter, then create a new list from the selection and then create a PQ from the new list.

Good idea. Hadn't thought of that. Thanks.

YOu can do the same at GCA.
https://geocaching.com.au/caches/availa ... sort=Found
Of course if you make a query and send the results to "Screen" you can apply any number of filters.
What you can't do simply is create a GPX file, but if you're only looking for a smallish number you can add them to your planned list and then get a GPX file of your planned geocaches.

e.g. https://geocaching.com.au/cache/tp6760 and click "Plan" on the right hand side.
Then https://geocaching.com.au/my/hotlist/planned and glign GPX or ZIP.

I figured that too. I just hadn't thought to sort by last found date. Such a basic thing that I've used before but I just didn't think of it.

Thank you mattyrx, Chwiliwr and caughtatwork. :)
