Just saw this post after I emailed an administrator in the games with a query.
So if I log one of the ten trail I just completed and it is worth 19.5 points, the final points I will get for the 10 completed will be 195.00?

You will only get the points for the cache you submit, in your example, 19.5 points.
GeosportZ 2018 wrote:The name of the game is discipline and strategy. You are seeking a combination of the most requirements claimed and the highest number of points without exceeding 1,000 points. You are not claiming the requirements first. It is not meant to be a race.
If we were to award you with 195 points for one claim, then that's nearly 20% of your total points limit accounted for. Hence the reference to not always claiming the highest points available.

Thanks for the explanation. I know it isn't a race but getting close to a 1,000 points will be hard to achieve. Will plod on as I need an average of 25 to achieve that.

Ok another question on the 10 trail one. I will put in one code for the claim, so does that mean the other 9 can be used for other challenges eg, sea level, names in title, near a beach etc or do I list the other 9 codes in the notes?

Ok I will list 10 codes in notes and use the extras against something else.

I've created a wiki page for GeosportZ 2018 and you can find the link to the downloadable and print friendly challenge list on there:

A question about the Tennis challenge. The challenge says "... any two of the following number combinations in the listed geocache waypoint in order. 00, 15, 30, 40 ...". Does "in order" mean only the combinations 0015 1530 3040? Or is the challenge for any two in any order but as a contiguous sequence, such as 4015 1540 4000 etc? Supplementary question, does 15-all, 30-all, deuce etc count?

The numbers 00 have to appear in that order, ie 010 does not count. As long as the coordinates contain somewhere with in them any two combinations of those number pairs.

Supplementary answer: I would say yes, as they occur in a real tennis game, but may have to confer with the the other admins if this comes up in a claim.

I woke too early on the 1st and went straight to the last to Starr working out what I needed in the 2 days I had between Lake Mac Mega and my train in Sydney. Huge thanks to ziggiau for helping me pick most of these up. Only just got them logged within 7 days!

Now I have to hide a few.

I am going to be carless after next weekend so that will probably hinder my attempts to get to the 1000 points. Oh well, doesn't matter too much - got a few other things going on at the moment.

You could always hide some within walking distance.....

I hear you. Wish I could get there to hide and find some. You should start a T5 D5 locationless called "I hid a geocache in the blue mountains". Only caches hidden since publishing it are allowed. T5 because they'll need to travel to get there and D5 because they still have to be able to maintain it. Hahaha

Not sure I understand the (25) tennis requirement do the number have to be consecutive in the strict sense as in 0015 or can they be split as in 33 **.*00 150 **.*15 ?
