Who is online In total there are 330 users online :: 153 registered, 10 hidden and 167 guests (based on users active over the past 30 minutes)

Do hidden users and guests count for the record of only registered users?

Genesis

On the first day NavStar created the satellite orbit and it was good, so he added a constellation of 36 satellites to it.

On the second day he created the receiver. He knew it would advance with time, so he also made the firmware update.

On the third day he created the GPX file. For what he was not sure, but it may come in handy later.

On the fourth day he created the Internet. He liked the internet so he listed a website. He named it geocaching.com.

NavStar wondered what to list at this geocaching.com so on the fifth day he created the geocache and told the lucky few about it.

The sixth day simply brought many many details and tweaks. He devised the earthcache, the FTF, the maintenance run and deleted muggle intelligence.

On the seventh day NavStar went caching. Then had a nap.

Several thousand days later he sent forth his son. The Holy Patron. This Patron would purge all the geocachers of their DNF's and show the blinding way to solve even the most tricky puzzle. IF and Ghostgums were forced into hiding as their impenetrable puzzles crumpled before them. The Holy Patron taught many a lesson and some even named him the GeoJesus. Often seen lurking at high terrain caches, not far from the mysterious geomobile, akin to the vehicle known as Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.

Of course the muggles hated our GeoJesus, but nothing happened, for he was great. It is rumoured he still walks among us, addicted to latitude and longitude, handing out lessons of salvation from the torture of that elusive smiley.

The came the great flood, circa January 2011. The flood spoken of in folktales and logs that brought rain for forty days and forty nights. It didn't have a huge effect, just washed a few caches downstream.

One day a cacher of many, many finds walked to the peak of the highest mountain in search of the hardest cache known to the unwashed geocacher. The story goes that he found it, oh yes he found it alright, but the swaps inside changed the history of the game forever. He came back from that hill and announced to the world with a simple facebook post that NavStar had placed unto that cache a logsheet which held upon it the 12 commandments of NavStar12.
