Just my thoughts on how you may be able to get your website upgraded for free - geocaching.com.au
I am assuming that it is non profit and if this is the case there are so many grants that you can apply for
• Lotto
• NAB
• Rotary
• Lions
• Commonwealth Bank
• Bendigo Bank
Geocaching.com.au could be promoted as a family or social outdoor activities website bringing communities together, holding events as well as a variety of outside activities.
Benefits are:
• Promotes a Healthy Lifestyle
• Reduces obesity
• Orienteering skills
• Working together as a team
• Active
• Free
• Learning to look after the environment
Benefit for me personally - it is way too hard to use on a iphone on geocaching.com.au .... lol

Use GeoSphere as a method for finding caches using this site.

The hard bit is that GCA is just a website... not a registered entity or organisation. We are certainly not doing this to make money, but we are not a registered ANYTHING, let alone a non-profit organisation.
It is almost impossible to apply for grants and whatnot in our current state.
There are no plans in the immediate term o change our status unless we REALLY have to.

Hopefully we can resolve this one at our event but apparently it isn't easy.caughtatwork wrote:Use GeoSphere as a method for finding caches using this site.

I have no trouble using Geosphere with GCA caches, but then again I don't tend to write logs or field notes on the phone due to aging eyesight and fat fingers - apart from found logs on moveables which are usually quick just so other people can check if it has been grabbed, and I just do that in the browser. The log then gets updated on the computer when I get home.
