PHP Developer Position

Geocaching Australia has an opportunity for the right PHP developer to join its ranks. http://geocaching.com.au

This is a volunteer position. Repeat. No money will change hands. You do stuff for the love of it.

The position is unpaid but you will be lauded and praised by the community for your ability to:
- Design new and exciting changes.
- Develop those changes and make them a reality.
- Fix the occasional bug.
- Support enhancements to the site such as continued API development.
- Provide expert advice to community members to understand how things work in the background.

You should posses:
- 4+ years experience in Development
- Excellent coding skills in PHP
- Experience with JavaScript and JQuery
- Web development skills with HTML5 & CSS3
- An eye for creative design
- An understanding of responsive design
- Strong communication skills with the ability to openly discuss ideas
- Experience in testing would be highly regarded

You will also:
- Provide your own computer / development environment with an Apache, PHP, MySQL / MariaDB stack. It will be your choice of operating system.
- Preferably be based in any state of Australia or New Zealand. These countries are preferred as being in the same timezone as our primary community and current developer team but candidates outside these countries will be considered.
- Provide the code you develop under Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 2.5 deed. http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/2.5/
