As mentioned before, if you have something like GA Cacher it is VERY much quicker to scan and log.....quiet1_au wrote:Re: QR codes.

Bingo
After a hectic start to December we have been fortunate enough to have completed 2 of our bingo cards. This would not have been possible without the Tassie cachers who published caches and the small group who ensured that all numbers were available in Tassie. Whilst there were some hiccups along the way and some headaches - how do you move GA4750 - it has been an enjoyable experience overall with lots of imaginative caches. Let's continue to help one another to fill as many cards as we can before we are raided from the big island.
A big thank you to caughtatwork for the idea and all the work that must have gone into setting it up. We were initially unsure of how it would work but are enjoying the focus change which, despite some initial hiccups, appears to have fostered greater co-operation between cachers. Maybe a more formalised number trading option at the start might help areas where completing a card at the moment will be very difficult. The other option would be for all GCA bingo players to holiday in Tassie - GCA Summer Mega perhaps??
Thank you all again as we continue to hunt down those bingo caches we have yet to find.

BTW Facitman, I went to put a cache in one of your hiding/starting points but a darn muggle was up a ladder cleaning his gutters and nosing in on me as I approached so I had to veer off and use some of my regular hiding places instead....

It seems some caches are now stagnating a bit, where in other moving games you grabbed whatever cache you could people are now sometimes finding and leaving in place or not even looking for if the number isn't required. Need to keep the movement going...

Re: Bingo - The moving cache race for 2012/2013
Pleased to say I've now filled a line! 37 unique finds and I've started looking at the numbers now. I will still grab and move whatever I find though. I try to leave something behind if I can drop something off. It can be very frustrating to get to some spots and find nothing. It's a pity that so many areas are no-go zones - nothing north of Sydney pretty much until the enclaves in northern NSW/southern QLD. Also areas of Sydney that don't get much uptake. All we need is a few good men a few more crazy cachers...

Zhoay and I are back from Holidays and will be joining the fray this week
I still have one up in Gosford waiting a FTF. Thought Shifters or Pesky would have been after it!

Off topic, but how does one get those little colours stars to appear above ones icon ... showing the number of caches found?

I would have gone for it, but too far from the station, beside the walk along the highway is not for the faint hearted!

BINGO Help Required for GA5689
Sorry to be a nuisance . . . but I can't work this one out . . .
I placed a 'late' BINGO the other day GA5689 Purple and Green BINGO Hopper, and listed it as published and hidden on 1 Dec 2012. I also gave it a BINGOtag.
However, unlike my other three BINGOs, this one doesn't show up on the ladders . . .
Help!
Many thanks in advance.
