Don't worry, Tronador. You aren't alone. I only have a GPS for caching, too. I do own a mobile phone, but it doesn't do data or anything - just phone calls.

Hi C@W, I was just looking at the Bingo Numbers and noticed GA4740 is listed under the "74" numbers instead of "40" numbers as there is a gap after the GA and it has been read by the program as GA0474 instead of GA4740 I think ... see below for how the numbers are listed
GA 4740
GA4374
GA4674
GA4774
GA4874
GA4974
GA5074
GA5174

GeGnome Project
There are 235 GeGnomes in this game (belonging to 167 members).
Leapfrog
There are 480 Leap Frogs belonging to 144 members in the game.
Bingo
There are 434 Bingo caches belonging to 85 members in the game.
Not quite as many participants as I hoped. Still, I think we have an excellent chance of making this a very fun summer.

I just helped boost those numbers a little..
Heading out soonish. Dropping another few of then going to go find them. There will be two teams in our car for the night. We will purposely be avoiding each others movables but when we find one what is the procedure if we both have that number on of our cards ?

If there are two of you and you have separate accounts, then one picks it up (find type log) drops it (logs it as a move) at least 1km from where you picked it up, then the the other picks it up (a find) and moves it a further kilometre at least (a move type log).covert wrote:I just helped boost those numbers a little..

If you are going to piggy back caches like this, it's ok, but if you can do a log in the field, it will save someone looking for them in a "temporary" drop off point. Maybe in your log indicate it was only there temporarily and is on the move again. It will help people who are rushing around, especially on the first weekend, to avoid disappointment of travelling to find the cache was never really there.

I have a mobile wifi hub with 12 gig data for $180 expires 12 months, which I use when I am away from home (5 or 6 months each year). Until the WanderingMrs started using her iPad on it I always had a bit left, which was added to my recharge each year. Now I get 3 or 4 months on the Wallaby, and what's left will probably last me until next big trip.tronador wrote: Nope, not on a pl an. Data is too expensive I wont .use it and have it disabled. Dont own a tablet or carry a laptop. Just me and my GPS. That's why I don't do munzees.Requires data to run the app.
I now use it for Munzees, and only turn it and the phone wifi on when I'm ready to capture or deploy (because my phone battery goes flat very fast if I leave it on).
A 2 hour Munzee session costs me 1 or 3 cents (rate is 1.5 cents per mb).
I tried using my meagre phone plan $5 data allowance for one 2 hour Munzee session, just to see what it would cost. The cost was $3.88, so using the mobile wifi at an average of 2 cents is the way I now stay.

Way of topic but installing a 4G Wifi access point into the car...WanderingAus wrote:I have a mobile wifi hub with 12 gig data for $180 expires 12 months, which I use when I am away from home (5 or 6 months each year).
