"Swimming against the tide" graph
There is a graph called "Swimming against the tide" that shows the number of unfound home state caches over time. Unless you find at least about 100 caches a months it just goes up and up...
Is it possible to make a "Swimming against the freddo tide" graph? Same as above but just for freddo caches. I think I'm keeping up but only just...

Is that just because you don't know the number for each month in the past (or is too hard to work out)?

Re: "Swimming against the tide" graph
I have a computer. I can do anything.
What I fail to see is the widespread attraction to a graph that charts a cachers finds against Freddos hides.
This might give an indication of people who might be interested in running that graph. http://geocaching.com.au/cacher/Freddo/frequentfinders
You're only in the Obsessed Frequent Finders rank so your chart would a show that you're losing against an overwhelming tide of Freddo caches.

Re: "Swimming against the tide" graph
It doesn't have to be just Freddo, I was kinda thinking like the "Battlegraph" where you enter the relevant cacher in...
But if its too hard then never mind, just a thought...
And considering that when I started caching he had 250+ hides I would say I'm going that badly...

On a related subject, can you explain to me what the "Olympicas Downhill" graph is showing? I cant quite get my head around it...Laighside Legends wrote:There is a graph called "Swimming against the tide" that shows the number of unfound home state caches over time. Same but just for within 50km of your home coordsBewilderbeest wrote:On a related subject, can you explain to me what the "Olympicas Downhill" graph is showing? Re: "Swimming against the tide" graph
So how come the Tide almost always goes up, but the Downhill always goes down (well, never goes up)?

Re: "Swimming against the tide" graph
Downhill is active caches within 50km, assuming they were all hidden on 1/1/2000.
Then you look at the month you found the cache and 1 comes off the list.
A steep slop means you are tacking many caches in your area.
A not-so-steep slope means you are letting the ones within 50km build up.
A flat line would be you don't care (or you're dead).
It's more for fun than anything else.
