Works ok for me.
Perhaps you have turned off your location reporting services or something?

Turn phone off, detach batteries and sim, replace all and turn back on.
If that fails, see if the app needs an update
If that fails, check settings.
If all that fails, you have a problem.

I think I know what the problem is.
Please try again when you get a moment.
All things being equal it should be working again.

Re: GCA mobile website stopped working for me
The problem would be at our end.
When our API went live we restricted access to stop rogue apps slurping data. We offer other ways for bulk data extraction, so we prefer those apps to use different methods.
As a result of restricting the access, I inadvertently cut off the mobile view of the caches as it wasn't a registered app.
It works for CR and I as we are admins and have permissions to everything, but testing via another account stopped access.
I think I've fixed it and tested it via a different account.

Re: GCA mobile website stopped working for me
I'm confused - is it an Android app I can't use, or a website I can (seeing as I have an iPhone). If it's a website what's the address (checked the earlier ones mentioned but not much joy - it wouldn't let me log in).

Re: GCA Web Site or App?
I'd also like to know which app you're using -- or are you simply accessing the GCA web site?Richary wrote:I'm confused - is it an Android app I can't use, or a website I can (seeing as I have an iPhone). Re: GCA mobile website stopped working for me
We have an API that any iphone developer can use to access our data
We wont be writing any phone, android, wp7 or blackberry apps as we don't want the hassles that come with supporting such stuff, however we are more than happy to work with anyone interested in writing geocaching apps to use the API
so far we have MTrax's GA Cacher app on Androisd that uses the API and it works just great.
Theres a sub site at http://geocaching.com.au/mobile that can be used to VIEW cache data, logging is not working yet
You MUST allow your phones web browser to send us your location or it's as useless as a box of rocks.
As it is a WEBSITE and not an APP there is no way to navigate using it of course.

Re: GCA mobile website stopped working for me
Thanks, I'm testing the mobile site on my iphone at the moment. It's just given me a list of GCA caches near home, so I think it's working for me . This could come in very useful - I only use the groundspeak app to look up information & then transfer coordinates to my gps if necessary, so lack of navigation or logging won't worry me at all .
