You're welcome. It can be a little overwhelming. Next year will be easier.

That is an excellent suggestion.

Well, almost a day late, but my froglings are being published, I think.

\:D/ Now to wait until the next refresh to make sure they make it onto the ladder!

Yup, some will get found in the morning (and taken) and not logged until later that night when the person is back online. Luckily this year with the iPhone I can log on the road, hopefully saving people a trip for something that's not there.

Others would get found and not taken, for example multiple finds at an event. Or someone who chooses not to move it for whatever reason. A certain moveable (not a frog) might in theory have a specific mission rather that the person can't help with so they don't take it. Think some of the old GC ones that were supposed to keep moving in a certain direction (and you might be driving the other way).

The only way around it (IMHO) would be to add a new log type of "Taken" which would include Found by default, but that would probably break apps like GSAK, Geosphere, c:geo and so on.

100% on the last comment.
Also, not to put too fine a point on it, we "try" to keep it simple. The more we complicate the logging mechanism, the great the chance of it all going pear shaped.

I think the uncertainty adds to the fun of the Moving Cache Race .. part of the challenge is to judge if it is worth looking for and is the DNF because I have cache blindness or it really has been taken :)

That being said .. a quick found log is a good one people (e.g. use your phone!)

My frog needs a correction.

http://geocaching.com.au/cache/GA3530

It did a magic jump to Tassie and back.

Doesn't seem I can delete the log. Faeries?

I tried to log it with my phone but it wasn't co-operating, have changed a few things on the phone so hopefully I can log on site.

My area was fairly active with Gnomes last year and the Frogs seems to be hopping in and out already so the more up to date the logs are the better. My radius is a little limited at present as I don't have a car, been riding around, which is doing my fitness good but not moving frogs too far.

We used the iPad while driving around frog napping the over night; was great for those quick find logs!

For those of you attending the NSW Geocaching Christmas Party on Sunday in Sydney (haven't checked), Rock-hopper will be bringing up 6 frogs from the Illawarra & Shoalhaven plus one Blast Furnace reminder. These belong to fluffyfish, BlacknWhite & myself. Rock-hopper will move them to the event on Sunday morn. A good way to boost your find numbers & introduce new blood although it is probably to early to worry about cross fertilization. The Gnomes were an amoral bunch, frogs have much better manners.

Have also placed this in the more appropriate location on the forum as well.

The GA Cacher app continues to be fantastic. I logged 15 in the field tonight, hopefully saving someone the trip down to Avalon when they were all in the boot of my car. I could also instantly see that others which were near had been found since I left home, so I didn't need to check them.

](*,)

I keep getting the twins mixed up. I put Mingo's photo on Fanty, and VV.

Mingo has been found, Fanty was still unfound when we went past at 5pm.
