And So It Begins . . .

Made the rounds here in the Upper Mountains . . . and now to bed!

Too tired to drive any further.

But what a great start!

4 frogs found for team HGL/Waterlogged in Adelaide, with a fair bit of driving from our starting point.

Happy with the result, probably not so happy when the kids wake me up at 6:30am :)

Thanks everyone for hiding the Frogs and I'm looking forward to a fun Summer!

Can someone please help me. I think I did it all properly. I have 2 frogs entered, and they were in the Ladder but when I look to see where frogs are in the list they are not there? When I looked back at the ladder, they are not there eithere now. I am confused

OK, did you put the 1st December as your hidden date as well as your Published date?
Can you see them on your caching page in Geocaching Australia?

Did you take a copy of the GA number, and go into Cachinggames.com and 'create a cache'?

I don't suppose it is possible to supple a location by URL ?

eg geocaching.com.au/my/query/zip/4354?lat=38.0123&lon=145.5678
Not at this time, no.
If you want it centred, add the lat and lon to the Sort by Closest to.

With no disrespect to you, adding GET variables to the ....
Doesn't have to be GET, it can be handled in the path if that helps. (...query/zip/4354/lat/38.0123/lon/145.5678)

Reason I ask is I use geosphere on the iPhone and it has a great bookmark feature that can be passed lat/lon. The application will ask me to use my location, my current target cache or my current search cache. I have found it a very powerful feature.
We use a rewrite rule to make "nice" URLs. Effectively this performs the same as a GET. i.e. Interrogate the URL and parse out parameters. The same condition applies. We need a small road bump to stop people and bots simply constructing URL after URL and hammering the database.

Your published logs were missing the starting co-ords. I've added these in and they should now be appearing on the ladder.

mtrax is the one to ask (it's his app).
Did you let the device get your location?
Let it do that, then try to load again.
Failing that, get a hold of mtrax and get him to check it out.

Thanks for that caught@work.
They are now on the ladder, but when I look to see where frogs are, they are not listed or on the map? I think there is something else that I have not done?

maybe the public tag ought to be leapfrog and not leap frog? (becasue the query is built on the tag I think)
