Needs Archive on GCA

Post by Captain Terror » 06 October 11 1:12 pm

On GC if a cache receives a Needs Archive log, Ministro is all over it with the 30 day warning before it goes the way of the Dodo. (Thank-you Ministro, love your work).

On GCA, as there are no reviewers, if a cache receives a Needs Archive and the owner hasn't been active for quite some time (as tends to be the case), is there any way that the cache will be force archived (as Ministro does) or are we simply relying on the owner checking their emails?

Post an NA log and we have people who will kill off a cache that needs killing. Same goes for caches that are disabled >90 days

We look at it every week or so.

While there is no-one to approve caches there are administrators who help keep the site tidy.
If a cache has a legitimate reason for being archived we will do it.
(It's not the free for all wild west here like our detractors would have you believe )

This also provides an outlet for our site administrators to let off some steam and helps them stay sane.

Ah, well you learn something every day. Good to hear there are people on it. Yet more great work from you guys.
I see the two I put a NA on are already gone. Makes me happy :)
Now where is that sweet, sweet sound of Johnny Cash coming from :-"
