It's a sign from God 1 and God 2:
This weeks Futurama has this:

But part of me feels like this about the frogs:

But then I remember how fun the race was last time:

Well those Sydney-siders who remember my midnight shenanigans playing leap-gnome on Dec 1st last year will probably have guessed Im all in for Leap Frog and the second Tag :D

Only pity is I will be a late starter as Im not home til Christmas :( Will have to place one here and see if he can beat me home :D

How about an earlier start this year?
Or do the faeries need to do some web construction and they have their see through filmy gossamer garments out of shape because the frogs won?

December / January has been the period for the last 2 games.

2 months seems like a sufficient time for the game. Too much longer and the fun goes away. Too much shorter and you don't get enough weekend time.

December / January also have the longest daylight hours, the weather is warm, the kids are on holidays so they can join the weekday fun, most people have some form of holiday break, so it just seems appropriate.

I also need to generate the site and build in the rules, but that's only a weeks work.
